Recently I decided to pick up a project of building an airplane that my grandfather had started. The airplane is called a Hiperbipe, a rather unique looking airplane, with it’s boxy fuselage and negative stagger biplane wings.
This project was started long ago, and much work has already been put into it. I get to do the “easy” parts, but there is still a long road ahead.
The plane has been stored in a hangar for quite a while and has accumulated some surface rust.

My first steps moving forward are to:
1.) Gather all the assemblies already built
2.) Disassemble all the pieces
3.) Identify pieces that need to be welded/brazed before painting
4.) Sandblast and Powdercoat anything that can rust
